About The Founder

The name Camari is a blend of "CA" (from the surname) and "MARI" (from the forename), reflecting the personal foundation of the business.

The journey began in hospitality, taking on various roles in hotels and restaurants. This provided the opportunity to work in different locations, creating great memories and gaining valuable skills.

After starting a family, a return to education as a mature student led to an HNC in Secretarial Studies, an HND in Business Studies, and a Training of Trainers qualification. These accomplishments opened the door to a role as a trainer with a training provider.

Progressing from a trainer to qualifying as an Assessor and later as an Internal Verifier, additional experience was gained by collaborating with City & Guilds as an External Verifier. Over time, roles expanded to include leading a team of Assessors and Verifiers who delivered NVQs and SVQs, eventually evolving into staff development positions.

While managing the delivery of hundreds of qualifications, responsibilities also included Systems Manager, introducing and implementing systems and procedures across the organisation. Later, the focus shifted to compliance and internal auditing, covering European Structural Funds, UK and Scottish Government Funding.

Camari Training was established to offer training and development services to private and third-sector organisations, including community development initiatives.

Interests include upcycling, recycling, and cooking, but the greatest passion lies in personal development. Watching people of all ages gain new skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding. Witnessing someone succeed in what they once thought impossible is a deeply fulfilling experience.

A commitment to learning drives continuous growth, with many skills being self-taught. For example, building this website required countless hours of learning, despite not being a professional web designer.
