The Founder

The name Camari is a blend of "CA" (from the surname) and "MARI" (from the forename), reflecting the personal foundation of the business.

​

The journey began in the hospitality industry, working in various roles across hotels and restaurants. These experiences provided opportunities to work in different locations and develop invaluable skills.

​

After starting a family, a return to education as a mature student led to qualifications in Business and a Training of Trainers certification, which opened the door to a career as a professional trainer.

​

The role evolved from trainer to qualified assessor and later internal verifier, with further expertise gained through work as an external verifier for City & Guilds. Over time, responsibilities expanded to include leading a team of Assessors and Verifiers delivering NVQs and SVQs, as well as taking on staff development roles.

​

While managing the delivery of numerous qualifications, additional duties included serving as Systems Manager, introducing and implementing procedures across the organisation. Later, the focus shifted to compliance and internal auditing, covering European Structural Funds and UK and Scottish Government funding.

​

Camari Training was founded to work with private, public, and third-sector organisations, delivering SVQs, bespoke training, and online courses.

​

Passions include upcycling, recycling, and cooking, but the greatest joy comes from helping people of all ages develop new skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals. Watching someone succeed in what they once thought impossible is deeply rewarding.​
