✨What are Custom GPTs?

A custom GPT is your own personalised version of ChatGPT. You train it by giving it instructions, examples and documents so it can understand your role, your tone and the tasks you need it to perform. It behaves like a smart assistant that has been designed specifically for you.

Once trained, your custom GPT can answer questions, follow your processes, and complete work in a way that is consistent, accurate and aligned with your standards. Think of it as a digital colleague who already knows how you like things done.

Here are just two quick examples of what a custom GPT can do. One has been designed for business use, supporting SQA compliance and quality assurance. The other is a personal assistant, helping with no waste cooking and everyday decision making. Two very different needs. One simple way to train AI to work for you.

Beyond these, there are many other possibilities. In a business setting you could create a customer service GPT that answers enquiries in your brand voice, a sales support GPT that drafts proposals, or a GPT that explains policies and supports onboarding.

For personal use, you could build a wellbeing coach GPT, a fitness planning GPT or a budgeting assistant that helps you stay organised and confident day to day.

Every document was uploaded into the Knowledge section and indexed properly so the GPT could summarise, locate clauses and cross reference information with confidence.

Here I show a completely different use. This personal GPT helps me create meals from leftovers, plan low waste shopping lists and generate creative recipe ideas based on whatever is already in my kitchen. It can even use the camera to view the contents of my fridge and identify what ingredients I already have, helping me reduce waste and cook confidently without guessing. Two very different roles. One powerful tool.
